So glad you’re here!

Hi! I’m Kristen, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with more than 10 years of dedicated experience specifically to maternal and pediatric nutrition. I have been specializing in this exciting (and oftentimes chaotic) time for a while and I completely get how overwhelming all the nutrition advice during this period can be. Not only is there so much nutrition misinformation on social media, but the actual science doesn’t always align with real-life experiences. This was something I learned REAL quick after struggling with breastfeeding my daughter, and continue to be reminded of as we are over 2 years into the picky eating “phase.” I know all the scientific research, but the real-life implementation is a lot more stressful and difficult than I ever anticipated.

With that said, unlike other fields of science, nutrition IS NOT black and white. It can’t be. Food and what it represents is different for every single person. Which is why nutrition is basically meeting in the middle. It’s an educated compromise to fit your personal needs and goals. That’s why I take a realistic, science-based approach to nutrition. My goal is to help you find what works for you (and/or your family). Regardless of why we are working together, my hope is that you feel confident when feeding yourself (and loved ones) and learn a lot along the way.

A little bit of extra background on my clinical experience:

After having my daughter and deciding to go into private practice, I provided nutrition care in a clinical setting to infants as young as several days old, all the way up to teens who were meeting with me virtually from their college dorm. Many of the kids I had the honor of caring for had multiple chronic diseases and complex medical histories. Prior to that, I worked in an OB clinic where I helped women navigate nutrition during pregnancy and optimize their health for themself and their growing baby. Whether we were getting through first trimester nausea or controlling blood sugar, I was there to support them throughout it all.

I have worked as a clinical dietitian throughout New York City, Long Island and Westchester. During my professional career, I have also worked as a research assistant as well as a regional clinical research coordinator. I have given professional presentations, been the recipient of research grants, and been an author on several peer-reviewed publications.
